Nicole and Justin eloped at Pinnacle Peak, a gorgeous hike at Mt. Rainier National Park. Justin used to be a ranger at Mt. Rainier so it is a very special destination to them. Their best friends came along for their special day and acted as their officiants. One of my favorite parts of the evening was at the very end of their ceremony, the fog came rolling in right in time for their first kiss as a married couple! It was so magical, I couldn’t believe the timing. Bravo, Mother Nature.Read More
The day after their wedding, Cameo and Dawson met me at Tipsoo Lake on Mt. Rainier for their day-after wedding portrait session, and it was absolutely incredible. The weather was magical!Read More
This maybe isn’t saying much, because all of my couples make me happy, but this wedding had me smiling from cheek to cheek the entire day. These two have the cutest relationship and their love blessed all in attendance to their intimate, family-oriented wedding day on Vashon Island. Janita described Jonathan as the Yang to her Yin, and that was apparent from the moment I met them. They complete eachother.
Congratulations Janita + Jonathan!Read More
Joanna + Brian are without a doubt one of my favorite couples I have ever worked with. They ditched wedding tradition and made their day something truly unique. After getting ready at the Deetjens Inn, Jo met her groom at the end of the aisle under a grove of cypress trees, where they exchanged their vows, surrounded by their closest friends and family members. Then they spent the rest of the day meeting each of their loved ones at different locations along the coast, where they enjoyed some time together and gave them each a special hand written letter. Afterwards, they headed over to Alvarado Street Brewery for an evening of pizza and beer. It was such a beautiful, intimate day filled with love and laughter and I’m so grateful to have been there to witness it! #murphyme #justmurphiedRead More
Kelsea + Perry had a beautiful, intimate ceremony above Diablo Lake in the North Cascades National Park. Their closes friends and family members brought their camp chairs and their pups and gathered around to witness these two commit their lives to each other! It was such an awesome day!Read More
Chelsie and Matthew, with their fur baby Archie by their side, set out last July for the Olympic National Park for the beginnings of their biggest adventure yet - marriage! They got ready at a rustic lake-house cabin with a beautiful view of Lake Crescent, took some photos with Archie (did I mention this dog has a faux-hawk? Such a cute boy!), then headed off to elope in the woods and explore the gorgeous Marymere Falls!
It was such an awesome day - every elopement I have the chance to be a part reminds me of how incredibly lucky I am to get to do what I do and experience the things I get to experience.
SO MUCH LOVE!Read More
Have you ever had so much to say that you end up speechless? That’s me right now trying to write about Alaina and Jared and this epic adventure we had together.
The day started out with this sweet couple getting ready together at a VRBO on Lake Sutherland with their fur baby Dingo (so much love for couple’s who get ready together on their wedding day!), then we headed over to the Olympic National Park where the cutest wedding crashers decided to join the ceremony (scroll down to see what I mean), then set off on a wondrous little ridge to pop some champagne (multiple bottles might I add) and their first dance as husband and wife, and some sunset portraits. We ended the evening with an unexpected “grand exit” photo, aka me slamming on my breaks a mile down the mountain, and making them jump out of the car for a final wedding kiss in front of their headlights!
This day was so full of love and bliss. The joy these two felt about marrying each other made me smile like a giddy little kid the whole drive home. Thank you Jared and Alaina for letting me tag along and witness your amazing love!Read More
This styled photoshoot is themed on the My Favorite Murder podcast with Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark. If you haven't listened to it, just scroll through the pretty pictures and don't think too much about it - or go listen and come back and it will make a lot more sense! I discovered this podcast around the beginning of this year and by episode two, I was hooked.
I've always been very interested in true crime and crime fiction. One of my favorite shows when I was a kid was CSI, and for a little while I thought that made me a weirdo, but it was always so interesting to me! When I discovered MFM I realized true crime was not such a strange interest after all and that I am in very good company. So here's some wedding inspiration for all my fellow murderinos! #SSDGM
p.s. there are tons of hidden references and symbols from the show, so if you recognize any of them, head down to the comments and point them out!!!Read More

I was out hiking one day when I came across this spot and had a creative vision that I just needed to get out of my head and out into the world. I asked Cassidy and Chris to model for me because, well, they're hot #amiright? Being in the Vegas valley at the time, we definitely were not planning on the rain, so I did not get all of the shots I planned on, especially the details, because I felt bad making my models stand out in the freezing wind and rain for too long, but it was still totally worth it! We almost rescheduled the session, but my gut told me to just go for it and I am soooooo glad I listened because this moody fog and soft lighting completely blew me away. It definitely reinforced a lesson I have learned time and time again - no matter what the conditions are, just get out there, take in the scene, feel the mood of the moment and just go with it and most of the time you end up with something amazing that you never could have created on purpose. That's a pretty cool feeling.Read More
