Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is your photography style?

A: Moody. Journalistic. Earthy. Real. Emotional. I'm not a big fan of perfectly planted feet and cliche poses. What's more important to me is documenting the raw emotions and organic connections.

Q: What equipment do you shoot with?

A: I shoot with a Canon 5D Markiii, a Canon 6D, 24mm 1.4 A, 35mm 1.4 A, 50mm 1.4 A, and 85mm 1.4 A. While I prefer to work with natural light, for receptions that require a flash, I use a Canon 430ex ii, and a Canon 430ex iii

Q: Do you use backups?

A: Yes! I always have at least two camera bodies and three or four lenses with me for weddings. Your photos are backed up immediately after the wedding/session.

Q: Do you bring along a second shooter?

A: All of my wedding collections include a second shooter, except for my elopement collection. If you would like a second shooter for your elopement, just let me know and we can definitely add that on!

Q. Do you edit all the photos you give us?

A: Yes! Every single one of them. I pour my heart and soul into every image <3 Editing is a huge part of a photographer's work; I do not deliver RAW or unedited images at any time.

Can you help us schedule the timeline for our wedding day?

Absolutely! I LOVE being a part of all of that. I'm here to help you with as much as I can! But if you've got it all figured out, I can totally just go with the flow, too.

Q: What are your rates?

A: For my complete investment guide, please get in touch!

Has your work been published?

Q: Where are you based? Do you travel?

A: I live right outside of Seattle, WA and I LOVE TO TRAVEL. The fastest way to make my day is to hire me for an out of state wedding! Also, you can click here to check my travel schedule and if we're in the same place at the same time there's no travel fees!

Q: What should I wear to my session?

A: Depends on the type of session, but the most important thing is to wear something you love and feel comfortable in! Try to coordinate with each other without matching. Stay away from logos and distracting colors and patterns. Neutrals and soft tones photograph wonderfully. My absolute favorite is long, flowy dresses that emphasize movement.

Q: Do you charge a wedding cancellation fee?

A: Nope! There is no cancellation fee for weddings/sessions. However, the retainer is non-refundable once paid.

Q: How do we receive our photos?

A: All of your high resolution digital images will be delivered through a password protected, online client gallery, which you will be able to share and download!

Q: Can we post our photos to social media?

A: Of course! I love seeing my work posted online. It makes my heart sing! You and I will share the rights to the images so you can use them for whatever personal use you'd like. I just ask that you don't crop, edit, or add any filters to them since I've already done all that editing for you! Oh, and photo credit is HUGELY appreciated <3

Q: If we need you to stay longer than expected, is that an option?

A: Yes. I usually have your whole wedding day open so if you need me to stay longer than we originally scheduled, just let me know! I will invoice you for the additional coverage after the wedding.

Do you offer albums and other products?

Yes! I offer prints, canvases, and wooden boxes from a professional lab. I also design custom albums specially curated to tell the story of your wedding day!

Q: How far in advance do we need to book?

A: As soon as you can! In order to ensure availability, we should get your date booked as soon as possible! However, if the spot is open on my calendar, it's yours!!

Q: What if we change our wedding date?

A: If your new date is open on my calendar, I am happy to switch it for you without a new retainer fee. However, if I am already booked for that day, I will put together a list of referrals for you to find another photographer that will be a great match!

Q: We like what we see! How do we book?

A: The first step is to fill out the contact form here! I will get back to you as soon as possible so we can get your day booked! I look forward to hearing from you <3
