Mornings with Mama | Cottagecore At-Home Motherhood Session {Meridian, ID}

Imagine a friend coming to your home for the morning to document the time you spend caring for, cooking for, playing with, reading to, loving on your babies. Maybe a little more dressed up than normal; or maybe not. Then sending you a whole gallery of beautiful images that reflect this time in your motherhood journey and your kid’s childhood. That is where my passion lies. THAT is what I want to offer to every mama I meet.

Another of my wonderful wedding couples, turned into a beautiful family! One of my favorite things to capture are the genuine moments of families with young children. Through my experience, I've learned that these fleeting years of childhood are incredibly precious. Beauty and value can be found in every laugh, tantrum, and messy moment. These special photos tell the story of a family's journey and remind us of the authenticity and beauty found in the chaos. I believe that even the imperfect moments are what make these times so special and worth preserving. When I photograph families with young children, I strive to create lasting memories that they can cherish forever.

Alexandra + Alan | Rainy Mt. Rainier Elopement at Copper Creek Inn and Longmire Bridge {Mt. Rainier National Park, Ashford, WA}

These two adventurers came all the way from California to elope at the charming little Copper Creek Inn on the Ashford side of Mt. Rainier National Park. After the ceremony, we wandered around the mountain and took some awesome wedding day portraits at Longmire Bridge. Although it can be pretty chilly, February is such a beautiful month at Mt. Rainier (the parts that are accessible at least) because it is typically rainy and overcast, and the rich, moody colors are unmatched! Such a peaceful and wonderful afternoon to get married!

Amanda + David | Rialto Beach First Look + Wedding Portraits {Olympic National Park, WA}

Amanda + David had their first look and wedding portraits done at Rialto Beach in Olympic National Park, a couple of months before their Seattle winter wedding, and it was absolutely gorgeous! The weather pulled through for us and brought a perfectly moody, overcast Washington day on the coast. These two were such a blast to work with and hang out with for the afternoon, and I absolutely love when couples choose an off-site location for their wedding portraits! Congrats again, Amanda and David!

You can choose a location with incredible views (like this one!) or one that is special to the the two of you! You aren’t limited to your wedding venue and the surrounding area.

Most of the wedding day nerves disperse with the first look! If you get it done ahead of time, you can look forward to your wedding day with nothing but excitement!

Have more time on your wedding day to relax, socialize, and party! Also, there’s no need to spend the first half of the day hiding from each other since you have already seen each other in your wedding clothes!

You can use it as a trial run for your hair and makeup.

If we get the timing right, you will likely already have photos in your wedding attire that you can use at your wedding for your decor, guestbook, etc.

Layla + Kodiak | Waterfall Wedding Portraits {Snoqualmie Pass, WA}

Layla + Kodiak elected to do a wedding portrait session a few weeks after their wedding day, at one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the PNW! It rained the entire session, but they embraced it and we all had a great time running around and documenting their love! Congratulations to these cute newlyweds!

The day after their wedding, Cameo and Dawson met me at Tipsoo Lake on Mt. Rainier for their day-after wedding portrait session, and it was absolutely incredible. The weather was magical!

Chris + Briana | Rainy Day Surprise Proposal at Kerry Park {Seattle, WA}

On their trip to Seattle, Briana knew she would be seeing some incredible views, but she was over the moon when one of those views included the sight of Chris, down on one knee, with a gorgeous engagement ring, and a very important question.
