Amanda + David | Rialto Beach First Look + Wedding Portraits {Olympic National Park, WA}

Amanda + David had their first look and wedding portraits done at Rialto Beach in Olympic National Park, a couple of months before their Seattle winter wedding, and it was absolutely gorgeous! The weather pulled through for us and brought a perfectly moody, overcast Washington day on the coast. These two were such a blast to work with and hang out with for the afternoon, and I absolutely love when couples choose an off-site location for their wedding portraits! Congrats again, Amanda and David!

Top 5 benefits of having your first look and wedding portraits done ahead of time:

You can choose a location with incredible views (like this one!) or one that is special to the the two of you! You aren’t limited to your wedding venue and the surrounding area.

Most of the wedding day nerves disperse with the first look! If you get it done ahead of time, you can look forward to your wedding day with nothing but excitement!

Have more time on your wedding day to relax, socialize, and party! Also, there’s no need to spend the first half of the day hiding from each other since you have already seen each other in your wedding clothes!

You can use it as a trial run for your hair and makeup.

If we get the timing right, you will likely already have photos in your wedding attire that you can use at your wedding for your decor, guestbook, etc.

Ashley + Peter | Bohemian Woodland Wedding {Kitsap Memorial State Park, WA}

Ashley and Peter set out on their wedding journey to create an organic, relaxed environment to enjoy with their closest friends and family members. They both grew up in Nevada, so they chose a venue that perfectly manifests the beauty of their new Washington home, Kitsap Memorial State Park. On the morning of their wedding, Pete got ready at a quaint little cabin in the park, while Ash spent the morning at an Airbnb with her girls. Ashley fittingly rocked Rue De Seine’s Ash Gown and we’re all convinced they designed it specifically for her. After the sweetest first look and couple’s portraits, they fetched their little black pug, Winston, for some special puppy portraits! Then they were off to wed among the trees with the most emotional exchange of vows. Just before dinner, Ashley surprised Peter with a beautiful slideshow of memories and a touching message from his grandparents. Then to finish off the most perfect wedding day, the newlyweds grubbed on some delicious food truck pizza, headed down to the beach for some sunset portraits, and danced the night away with all of their favorite people!

Congratulations you two!

Amelia + Brendon | Mountaintop Engagement Session {Olympic National Park, WA}

How gorgeous are these views from Amelia + Brendon’s engagement session in Olympic National Park? Some couples are seriously so easy to photograph and these two are definitely one of those couples with so much playful love between them. I can’t wait for their wedding next June!

Chelsie + Matt | Marymere Falls Elopement {Olympic National Park, WA}

Chelsie and Matthew, with their fur baby Archie by their side, set out last July for the Olympic National Park for the beginnings of their biggest adventure yet - marriage! They got ready at a rustic lake-house cabin with a beautiful view of Lake Crescent, took some photos with Archie (did I mention this dog has a faux-hawk? Such a cute boy!), then headed off to elope in the woods and explore the gorgeous Marymere Falls!

It was such an awesome day - every elopement I have the chance to be a part reminds me of how incredibly lucky I am to get to do what I do and experience the things I get to experience.

SO MUCH LOVE!

Alaina + Jared | Deer Park Elopement {Olympic National Park, WA}

Have you ever had so much to say that you end up speechless? That’s me right now trying to write about Alaina and Jared and this epic adventure we had together.

The day started out with this sweet couple getting ready together at a VRBO on Lake Sutherland with their fur baby Dingo (so much love for couple’s who get ready together on their wedding day!), then we headed over to the Olympic National Park where the cutest wedding crashers decided to join the ceremony (scroll down to see what I mean), then set off on a wondrous little ridge to pop some champagne (multiple bottles might I add) and their first dance as husband and wife, and some sunset portraits. We ended the evening with an unexpected “grand exit” photo, aka me slamming on my breaks a mile down the mountain, and making them jump out of the car for a final wedding kiss in front of their headlights!

This day was so full of love and bliss. The joy these two felt about marrying each other made me smile like a giddy little kid the whole drive home. Thank you Jared and Alaina for letting me tag along and witness your amazing love!

Ashley + Peter | Ruby Beach Engagement Session {Olympic National Park, WA}

Ashley + Peter are one of my amazing Fall 2018 couples and I am so psyched for their wedding. For their engagement session, we first stopped at their favorite little coffee shop in Olympia, then took a little road trip over to the coast and explored Ruby Beach. Despite the golden rays of sunshine in the photos, it was actually FREEZING and they were such troopers sticking it out so we could get some bangers.

These two killed it and I'm so excited to share this engagement session with you all!

Nicki + Josh | Olympic National Park, WA {Lilliwaup Couple's Session}

Nicki + Josh were one of the incredible couples that modeled for us at the Alpine Northwest Photography Workshop this year. Unfortunately, we only got to spend about 20 minutes shooting each couple, but man I could have photographed these two all day, all night.
